    Default Installing Base Cabinets

I am remodeling our kitchen and I am going to tear up the old floor because it is half inch particle board over half inch plywood and the particle board swelled in a few spots. I am going to put new plywood over the existing plywood and I am going to put ceramic tile in the kitchen. Is it best to tile the whole kitchen even under the new cabinets or should I Just build up the area under the new cabinets with an additional layer of plywood to be flush with the tile?

Generally, personal preference or cost dictate the answer to your question. Personally I prefer doing the whole floor then installing the cabinets. That way if I redesign cabinet layout later I don't have to worry about cut and patch flooring issues.
