Hi - My husband and I are in the planning stages to do some major home improvements. But we want to focus our money where it would score us highest on an appraisal. I'm assuming that's kitchen and bath, but can anyone tell me more about the appraisal process? Does one room/feature rate more heavily than others (example: kitchen count for 40% and bedrooms only 20%)? We have some features that I'm assuming will count in our favor (a new water well, newer roof, expanded living space, etc). But I don't want to invest a lot of money in a room remodel that isn't going to help with an appraisal in the end. If it helps, I'm in rural Michigan. Thanks! - Nancy
