    Default Shower faucet whistles

My son's shower faucet had a leak and when he turned the water on it also whistled or made a high pitched squeal when he takes a shower. My husband replaced the inner "cartridge" of the faucet, which solved the leaking problem, but not the whistle. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be making the whistle/squeal? Anyone know how to stop it?

It is likely the flow restrictor in the shower head that is causing the whistle. Remove the restrictor or enlarge the hole slightly.
