    Question flooring

    i am considering using 7in tongue and grove pine barn siding as a floor. what are your thoughts on that and would you recommend it. the wood comes from and old 75 - 100 yr old barn

    as long as the boards are in good shape, no major holes or checking it perfectly acceptable, reclaimed lumber from old barns for flooring is a big thing right now. especially since old growth lumber is nearly impossible to find anymore
    fire up the saw and make some dust

    Pine is pretty soft and will be subject to marring more than say oak or maple, however with reclaimed wood, you're going to have lots of character and discolorations anyway, which would be part of the charm.
    I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
