    Default Pumpkin carving!

    Hi there!

Holiday season begins next month with Halloween, and we want to see your pumpkin carving masterpieces! If we gather enough submissions, your pumpkins may be featured in a web gallery at the This Old House website.

To EMBED images into your post, use the vB [img] code. It looks like this:

    [img]value[/img]

This works best for images uploaded to a
http://photobucket.com/, http://www.flickr.com/, or another photo-sharing web account, as they assign URLs to each of your uploaded photos. If you have images you'd like to embed into your post uploaded to one of these sites, you would place the URL for the image in the space where the word value appears above.

To ATTACH images to your post, click "Post Reply" and scroll down to "Additional Options" (below the "Submit Reply" button). Look for "Attach Files" and click "Manage Attachments." Then, follow the prompts to attach your photos to your post.

Need some inspiration to get you started? Check out http://pumpkinmasters.com/

I can't wait to see your creations! Thanks!

Has anyone tried carving their pumpkin with a Dremel tool? I know they sell a separate Pumpkin carving kit that comes with a generic Dremel. I just wondering how badly it gunks up the Dremel. I want to know before using my own to carve a pumpkin.

    Thanks!

Sounds to me like a huge mess waiting to happen. You could always go for the non-carved look.

I carved a dragon that went all the way around a pumpkin one year that, I thought, turned out pretty cool....... I don't have any kids around to use for an excuse to carve them anymore or I would enter a photo. Although probably a bit closer to the 31st.

    ...........Go ahead, twist my arm............

I would usually carve several. LOL
