    Default Library-type ladders in kitchen

We have 10 foot ceilings in our galley kitchen. To maximize storage space, we are installing two rows of wall cabinets (above the counter tops) that reach all the way to the ceiling. We would like to install a library-style rail, to which a ladder could be attached, between the top and bottom rows of wall cabinetry to provide easy access to the top cabinets. We are having a hard time finding such a ladder and are concerned that the weight of the ladder could be too much for the cabinets to support. Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

    Here's another source Rockler
As yo look at the picture you will see that virtually all the downward weight is on the rollers at the bottom of the ladder not on the rail at the top.
What you want to do is quite feasible because you will not be on the top of the ladder when you are getting into the upper cabinets. The forward pressure on the upper rail will be minimal and the cabinets should have no problem with that.
    Good luck.
