Default Adding shower to half bath.

We would like to add a shower to the half bath. There is space in the half bath for a small shower. There is a full bathroom right next to this half bath which is attached to a bed room. How much would it cost to add a shower to the half bath considering there is a full bathroom next to it? Or does it even matter if there is a bathroom or not next to it?

It will be a relatively minor difference because the supply lines are already there or nearby. If you're on a slab, then hooking up the drainage will be costly because the floor will have to be jack hammered out. If you're on a raised foundation there shouldn't be too much trouble to tie into the existing lines.

I would severely caution against installing a shower that is less than 32" square, larger is better. The reason being is that anything less is going to be so claustrophobic that you won't want to use it or it will be difficult to use.

Yes it is Concrete Slab Foundation. We are on a deal to buy this home and there are more bedrooms and few bathrooms and so we thought we could convert the half bath to full bath.
