    Default outlet covers wont fit

    What can you do if your outlets are to deep in the wall and you cant put outlet covers on??

    First pull the outlets out and tape around them with electrical tape to insulate the connecting screws. Then use washers on the mounting screws to space the outlet out where you need it if not to far in. If very deep, say ", use a box extender you can pick up at most hardware stores.

    how short are you from being able to install them? get some longer cover screws. you can get them at the hardware store, you might need some insulating spacers or washers to help you level them out. if the gap is more than 1/8" then you should probably remove the device and extend the box first.
