    Default Laminate floor on cement

I have read that you should not put alminate flooring on a cement floor such as I have in my family room, because of the moisture warping the boards.
If this is ture, how would one go about putting laminate over cement and not have warping problems?

As long as you don't have moisture problems, you can install over a slab. Typical installation is to put down a heavy plastic vapor barrier first anyway, which will keep out light fluctuations in the slab moisture content. If you also put down a foam padding, that is an additional layer of moisture protection. Though the need for the additional padding varies between products and manufacturers.
