    Default removing wall towall

I am going to remove my old wall to wall and refinish the hardwood floors beneath. How do I cover the nail holes in the floor from the tack board? Should I just use wood filler?

You can use filler that you mix up with a little stain to match the color of the floors after they've been sanded. Then coat the patch with the varnish when you do the floor and it should be OK. When you mix it with stain, you may want to mix 2 or 3 different shades to match the varying color of the wood, around the perimeter.

You can also buy some putty sticks that are already colored. Again, just buy 2 or 3 of them so you have a choice when you work your way around the room. The floor colors will change as you move from hole to hole.

    Good Luck.
