    Default Gutters

When replacing gutters what are the pro's and con's of using rivets vs. screws to attach the pieces together? I notice most gutter systems are riveted.

Must be a regional thing as I have never seen a gutter system that was riveted together... everything around these parts is put together using self-tapping screws that (sometimes) have a neoprene washer under the head.

I would recommend rivets over screws so that you do not have sharp points to slice your hands on when seasonally cleaning the gutters. Another thing is that the screws will be longer and more likely to catch leaves and debris, causing clogs.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
