    Default floor furnace exhaust box

the floor furnace exhaust box was rusted out and cracked and it was written up in my inspection so i came up with an idea to fix it i tore the old box off it didn't have a bottom to it either. i went to the hardware store and figured out that i can get a "T" connector and 7 90 deg. elbows to get it to fit up to the pipe that goes to my chimney i was wondering if that is ok i can't find a replacement box or make one and am not sure if i did put one back on there if it needed the bottom to it. i had to light my mother-in-laws floor furnace and the box on hers didn't have a bottom
