Default North shore farmhouse Pipe shelving

I don't understand how the pipe shelving threads together. The horizontals thread into tees. How? Reverse threading?
    Or what?

There are instances where reverse threads are used, however, most of the time it is standard thread. As with anything else, pipes are put together one piece at a time, so what seems impossible becomes quite simple to construct.

Usually it is not about reverse threads it is about the order of assembly. Another option is to screw one end in all the way then screw the other end in half way while turning so the first end is only half way.

Good call, on an application such as this, tight joints really aren't a concern.
