    Default Cutting fiberglass

I have a 4' X 8' sheet of 'corrugated' fiberglass that needs to be cut to 4' X 66". What is the best method? I'm afraid of trying a power saw because it would either melt the edges of chip the heck out of it. It is going to be used on the back of a kitchen island.

    Thanx! Dan

I'd try a circular saw with small teeth. Feed it slowly. Test it out on a scrap (or the waste end of the piece) first.

I seem to recall this is what my dad used when he was cutting corrugated fiberglass sheeting for windows in the barn 25 years ago.

Problem solved. I used a Dremel tool with a small cutting disc. It cut fabulously at a medium speed. High speed tended to melt the material and smoke, stink etc. Thanks!
