    Default Pocket Door Hardware Problems

I am remodeling an early 1950's home that has eight solid-core pocket doors that are 1 1/4" thick. The doors had existing hardware installed into cutouts that are 3 1/2" tall by 2 1/2" wide. The old hardware was, in my estimation, too damaged to be salvaged, so it was discarded (seems like a mistake now though). I haven't been able to find new hardware large enough to fit the existing cutouts. Does anyone have a source for hardware this size, or, a recommendation for how to resolve this issue. Having eight doors with holes in them is keeping my home from being the showplace I want it to be. Thanks!

Thank you Jack for sharing these websites. I had similar issues in our DC house. Nice doors, but no hardware. We didn't even have any to start with.

Thanks Jack. The House of Antique Hardware has a model that I think will work, so I ordered one earlier today. I'll know more when it comes in.
