I leave on a 102 year old house in Flushing, NY. I am remodeling my bathroom in same space; however, I am trying to move my bath-tub drain-trap from the middle of the room where I had an legged tub installed. I want to move that drain-trap to other end of the tub against wall but I found current drain-trap to be lead and connected to the toilet drain. To extend this drain, I am thinking about cutting the lead-trap and leave a piece (stub), insert a galvanized nipple inside the lead-stub, and attached a PVC connector and tie them together with a rubber sleeve. hen the rest of the drain will be just glueing PVC to the other side and installing a new drain of PVC. Is there a better way of doing this project? Thank you- Louis
