    Default hiding deck piers

Does anyone have any ideas for how to hide deck piers? We have a 2nd level deck and are putting a blue stone patio below the existing decks. Are there any suggestions for blending the deck piers in so that it looks a little better than just having the piers sticking through the blue stone? The deck piers are between 2-4 inches above the patio and are 12 inches in diameter.

    Thanks!

Either paint them the same color as the stone, or veneer the stone to them.

I have done many of these where we have turned them into raised planters, with brick around the pier and filled with dirt. Its nice to bring the soft touch of mother nature into these situations.
