    Default Fiberglass tubs

We are starting to remodel our bathroom. I want a one piece fiberglass shower/tub. I hear that I will need to put concrete or sand under the tub or it will crack. True??? Help!!!

Depends on the tub and the manufacturer, sometimes there is a styrofoam support, sometimes not. If there is no support of the bottom of the tub, then yes, you mix up a batch of mortar or stucco (the premixed bag is perfect ) to a thick consistency and pile it under the central mass of the tub, then you set the tub in place and "shimmy" it to settle it into the mortar base. Let the mortar cure 24 hours before stepping into the tub.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
