Question Steam Radiators are not getting heat??

    Dear Ask this old house,

I have steam radiators and 2 of them are not getting heat to them much of the time. We only get heat to the raditors if we raise the heat 10 degrees. The 2 radiators are on the second floor of the house. We have others upstairs and they work fine.
Please help my wife and I out before it gets cold outside.

Thank you for your time and help.
    Sincerely,
    John from Upstate NY

The automatic air bleeder may be bad. Or the radiator may be unlevel and water is blocking the steamm flow

Question Re: Steam Radiators are not getting heat??

    Thank you for your info.

I went to Home depot today for some Steam Bleeders and they had some that all looked the same, but they all had different letters on them. What does this mean? can I use any of them for the radiator? Please advise.

    Sincerely,
    John
