    Default deck board spaceing

Hi I have a 32x20 deck that is 6 years old.I am screening in a 20x20 section of the deck and wanted to pull up the floor and re plane and put back down with no space in between the boards to try to keep bugs from getting in through the floor the floor is 1x6 ipe ironwood.just wondering if anyone would have any insight on this. the floor will be under a roof now and curious if it will expand and contract like if in the full sun.if so what is the minium spaceing between each board? thanks

Since you are going to pull up the boards and the area will be roofed over, get a roll of window screening and staple it to the joists, then fasten the boards over the screen. No insects and no worry about shrinkage.
