I am installing teak 3/4" flooring in my foyer and hallways. It previosly had parquet tiles that I painstakingly removed. However; my wife and daughter were not real careful in one area of the hall which is approx 40" wide by 4 ft long. The subfloor plywood got peeled fairly heavily but mostly only a 1/4 to 3/8 deep. I would like to know if I should route out to a depth in that area and glue in thinner underlayment or cut out the piece and scab in a new piece opf subfloor by mating to existing joists and creating a new box to nail to
