    Default Halloween decorating

I'm amazed at how more and more elaborate the decorations for Halloween are becoming at people's homes. It truly seems to have become more creative these days with structures and elaborate props ... far from the simple jack-o-lanterns of my childhood. It seems a more involved experience not only for the trick or treaters but for the homeowners as well.

I'm curious if anyone would share their decorating set-ups?

Here's a few photos that have been sent to me and a couple I've taken ... from props and figures on the outside to hanging carved pumpkins in trees ... one fellow bought a hearse just for Halloween.

I think my favorite is the witch crash.

I rotate my theme every year... Here are some simple, yet effective things I've done to make the house spookier.

2006 Witch- Luminaries are great for creating an eerie glow up a path or walkway.

2007 Persians- Pumpkins and other themed items can be displayed to create atmosphere.

2008 Mad Science- Sometimes a realistic prop can add volumes to your house. This "gurney" was made out of a folding table and PVC.

If ya knew the answer, why'd ya ask?

Sadly, I don't do any decorating. Don't want to encourage the little beggars coming around.

That McKenzie Brothers record brings back a lot of memories I seem to recall the Hoser theme song was done by RUSH (? I could be mistaken...)

House decorating on Halloween is my next favorite after Christmas. For 2011 Halloween, I'm planning to set up spooky monster's inc. theme. I'm sure the kids will love it.
