    Default Durock Next Generation

I am renovating a condo bathroom, and have removed the peel and stick tile, a layer of linoleum and a 1.5 inch leveler, gypcrete (sp?) layer down to the plywood. I'd like to install Durock next generation 3x5 sheets. Any advice?

    1. Is thin-set between plywood and durock ok?
    2. Some say to use screws as well but not to hit the joists because of temperature changes etc. Others say use screws and aim for the joists!
    3. Rough side up or down? There will probably be thin-set on both sides.

Any advice is appreicated! Thank you much!
