Thread: Battub Shower

    Default Battub Shower

We recently had to have our bath, shower and associated plumbing replaced. The bath is on the second level.
We now have an issue with water dripping on to the ceiling of the first level.
    We have installed shower doors.
We found out that the bathtub is not exactly level.
We have applied caulk, then silicone to the shower door frame, and applied grout to the bathroom floor.
I truly do not want to purchase another tub and shower.
I'd like it to last for a long time.
Any way to correct the level.

Is it possible the leak is from another source like the water pipes or the drain?

It is coming from the track. There was a small hole in the grout. The plywood between the floors was so warterlogged, that it had a hole in it. The water was running down the track, outside the tub wall, onto the bathroom floor, then through the hole in the grout to the lower level. We put plenty of silicone on the track, and tub walls.
After the initial problem, we have put access/trap doors, in the lower level floor wall(s), and we can see where the leak is coming from.
Can I put a small wedge in the corner of the shower door track. I am hoping to raise the track level.
