    Default radiant floor heating

I am doing a new addition (500 sg ft) and I'm wondering what the price differential is between hot water baseboard and radiant heat. I've put in baseboard myself, but, radiant seems more than I would like to handle on my own. Does anyone know, ballpark-wise, what radiant floor would run in that size space in an old house located in N.J.?
I'm just wondering how much it could be.
If I buy Slantfin 80 and do it myself, it would only cost about a 1000. bucks or so, but, the heat wouldn't be as nice and cozy.

It would be very hard to give a dollar estimate of a radiant install, sight unseen.

Your best bet is to consult the Yellow Pages under "Heating Contractors" and call in a number of contractors into your home to get several estimates.

I found out that radiant floor heating is only a bit more than copper baseboards. Less than $1000.
