    Default porch floor

I have heard that if you install T&G over plywood outdoors the wood will rot. I am going to install T&G CVG fir on a covered front porch. The porch has 3/4" plywood installed over 2x8 joist. Why would the wood rot if it is not going to get wet?

Your wood will rot due to condensation between the layers.. There would be no air between the
    different wood.
I just redid my front porch with Tand G fir. I had to pull plywood off off the old T and G. There
    was alot of rot.
The original porch was built in 1934. Two layers are never any good.
The back porch is Tand G and is original. It is open to the rain etc. There is no rot.
