    Smile tree design

I need advice from experienced landscapers I believe when you plant trees or bushes they look nice in a grouping of maybe 3 0r 4 spaced very well apart for growth. for example I have 5 spirea in a grouping, they look very nice. Now my husband thinks that everything should be in a row like statues.which is good if you are dividing a property or a windbreak but not when you are creating a design, Experts out there what do you think.

I think you need to do whatever makes you happy and suits your needs, ultimately, you're the one who has to live with it. Groupings sound like an interesting idea and could make for some nice specimen attractions within your yard.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!

Keep in mind the mature size of whatever you plant. A good idea might be to space the trees according to their mature size, then plant other smaller shrubs in between to fill in the space.

Have any pictures of the space?
