electric baseboards; how much allowance for furniture?
My house has electric baseboard heat. How far away do I need to keep furniture and d****s? Since I know I can expect high heating bills, what would be the best way to reduce cold coming in the bay window? All the other windows have double panes and storm windows but not the bay and it's not in such hot shape either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Re: electric baseboards; how much allowance for furniture?
The thing with baseboard heat is they need allowances for air movement. Air needs to come in through the bottom of the heater and out through the top. Having furniture or d****s covering them air movement will be restricted. How far away should the furniture should be away I can't say but if you can avoid placing things in front of them as much as possible will help alot with your heating.
