    Default Move a toilet

I understand moving a toilet is a big job. How can I move a toilet about 1' to the right? Big job I should not consider?
    Thanks for your response, CD.

The short and incomplete answer is....it depends!

You need to move the drain and closet flange as well as the supply line to the new location. How hard or easy that will be depends on your house. You will need access to the current drainpipe. Easier if that that access is via an unfinished basement ceiling, harder if that access if via a dining room ceiling or through the flooring of the bathroom. Also making it easier or harder is where the floor joists are and how they run with respect to where you are moving the toilet to. If the move takes the drainpipe along the current run of joists then easy, harder if the moved drainpipe will run across / through a floor joist to get to the new location.

    Thank you for your reply.
The basement is finished and I believe it would require moving between joists.
    I think I should consult a professional.
    Thanks again. AKDAVE.
