    Default Moulding separates from ceiling.

I've bought a fixer upper, been neglected. Built mid 70's, ranch style. When I moved in, I noticed the moulding that was up, had separated from the ceiling. I caulked and painted. I've now had to recaulk it 4 or 5 times. I've noticed during seasonal change it gets worst. What can I look at to solve this prob once and for all?

    Thanks a million!!

Because of seasonal movement ( likely in the winter ) the moulding should be attached to the ceiling and not the wall . This way when the ceiling moves it will bring the moulding with it and slide along the wall ---- not showing any gaps.
