Default Relocating the outlet behind the fridge

I bought a new fridge, and hate the way it sticks way out into the main path of the kitchen (galley style). I would like to know if it is a bad idea to take the outlet directly behind and recess it deeper into the wall (2x6) that way I can gain another couple of inches to slide the fridge into. Thanks!

Is this 2x6 wall an exterior one ?

Is the outlet blocking the fridge or the wall?

Canuk - The 2x6 wall is not an exterior wall. The main hallway is on the other side....

Ohmy- the outlet is right behind the fridge, so when I plug it in it forces the fridge about two inches off the wall. If I could recess the outlet in the wall a little further I could slide the fridge back those two inches, which would make a big difference in the fridge sticking out into the kitchen.
