Default point of use water heater

In your vido series, you state that the heater should be connected to copper water lines. Question, If I have a Pex system can I connect the Pex tubing to the heater, or do I need to use copper tubing?

You will need to attach copper/brass fittings along with a shut off valve onto the heater itself --- the pex gets connected to those.

Pex can't be installed within 18 inches of the water heater according to the Uniform Plumbing Code
