Default Has anyone ever used PVC gutters?

I'm contemplating wood gutters for my restoration project and found that I could have custom pvc cast to resemble wood for less than the wood itself. I could paint the visible face to match other woodwork and I fantasize that the concave surface would last many, many years without maintenance. Any wisdom on this?

It sounds interesting, but make sure you get a U/V protected type. Most PVC will deteriorate under sunlight. Just an FYI to check with the manufacturer.

There's a big difference between PVC and vinyl. In my experience, the PVC is considerably more expensive than wooden gutters, and vinyl is less expensive than aluminum. I'm also considering PVC gutters to replace wood, but have not been able to find very much information. Has anyone had experience with PVC?
