    Default Glue-in toilet flange?

Greetings all...this is my first post. Happy to have found the forums.

Installing a toilet in a new construction (my place) and am wondering about typical flange install. I didn't put the flange in prior to the finish floor which is tile.

In reading about general flange installation over the web, I rarely see any mention of how to secure the flange to the drain pipe below. Is this typically done with PVC glue as shown in the pic? I have seen articles talking about replacement of flanges, but none dealing with the burdensome task of dealing with a glued in flange.

The way the flange will fit in my particular instance is with the flange pipe going into the drain. It is one that fits inside of a 3" pipe.
