    Default Induction cooking

Can anyone comment on experience with induction cooking? We love cooking and are frustrated with an electric cooktop, but would have to pay dearly to bring gas into the house. Thanks!

Induction cooking is a magnetic reaction between the cooktop and the pan, which means that all of your cookware must be made of ferrous metal (no glass, no aluminum ). It may also use significantly more energy than a standard coil element type cooktop, if that's an issue for you.

to add -- friends have an iduction cook top and while it's quite neet they hate the type where the heat is modulated --- other words ---- the element is turning on and off ---- the frequency determines the heat output. They find it qiute annoying than having the typical electric elements that are constantly on throughout the use.
I had tried cooking on their system and did find it awkward to use as well.
