    Lightbulb outdoor furnace

I am looking to convert to an outdoor furnace. I have no neighbors and have access to lots of wood. My question is advice. Do's, Don'ts, any words of wisdom?

Place it so it's down wind from the hose. And you might consider building your own

Maybe look at a unit that is designed to burn coal, but will also burn wood. Although you are getting free wood, coal can be an easier fuel to deal with even though you would have to pay for it.

If you are in an area that you can get coal delivered, it may be a good option to have in the future. I burn a lot more coal these days than wood since it requires less of my energy to make it happen!
