Default What kind of pipe ?

I'm no plumber , so I'm going to ask here . My son needs to run a waterline from the road , to his home that is under construction . He want's to use 1 1/2 " pipe for future expansion to a shop , etc . His question is , what type of pipe should he use ? PVC SChed. 40 ? This is South Louisiana , so frost is not an issue . The run will be about 350 ft.

Sounds like the PVC would work though I'm thinking maybe use the schedule 40 ( pressure ) not the schedule 40 ( DVW ).
But I think the schedule 40 ( pressure) is most commonly found up to 1 1/4 inch.

    Just a thought.

If it's rated for potable water sounds like your good to go.

If you are running from a municipal water line, you best check with the water authority. They may have their own requirements.

No doubt that PVC is allowable . Wanted to make sure that it's the best bang for the buck .

It may be allowable but if they only allow a 1" tap, a 1" line is just going to cost maore and add nothing.
