    Default What is it?

This tool was found at a friends house while cleaning out the garage. He brought it in to me and I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help out in identifying this tool.

It is called a nibbler, it's used for making holes in the middle of a piece of sheet metal. I once needed the bottom cut off of a stainless steel serving tray, such as that you'd find in a salad buffet line. My sheetmetal guy drilled a hole, inserted a nibbler (his was attached to a drill motor ), and "nibbled" his way around until the bottom was separate from the rest of the pan.

Looks like a manual sheet metal nibbler to me.

Thank you 2 gentlemen for your responses. We kinda figured it had something to do with sheet metal work and you helped us understand what it is used for. Thanks again for your help.
