I was watching Ask This Old House this past Sat., 8/9/08, on the DIY network. Tom Silva went to a home to repair a hand rail on an existing stair case. He was extending the hand rail and used a fastener that I didn't catch the name of. It looked to be brass and he pre-drilled each piece of the hand rail, inserted this fastener, placed the the pieces together, and then placed a magnet tool in his drill and when placed against the handrail and the drill turned forward it tightened the fastener. Does anyone know the name of the fastener and who it is made by??? Thanks for the help.
