Unhappy how to cover up wrong wood stain color. Help!

I recently pressure washed my deck after probably 15 yrs of filth from the many trees in my yard and it looks brand new!!! my mother chose a cream tinted stain to match our cream house. i started to paint a few small spots and it looks awful!!! it doesnt look cream at all, it looks white washed. we used a semi trasparent oil based stain. is there any way to cover this up with a different color tinted stain or get it off? i do not want to use a solid paint because i want to prevent chipping. please help!!! thanks

I would go to your local pressure cleaning store and look for a semi-transparent stain stripper. It can be applied by roller or pump sprayer, there is a product I use ABR Fast finish. There is directions on the back for the ratio to use. If you do not have a local pressure cleaning store in the area, try to find it on-line.

    Good Luck
