    Default Drywall

My parents bought a house recently and all the drywall tape is coming down. What would cause this? Bad tape job or the four lawyers of wall paper we took down?

If you steamed or used water in any form while removing those layers of wall paper it will also liquefy the mud on the seams, resulting in the tape failing.

I promise you...Four LAWYERS could probably take anything down...lol.

Its possible the liquid from the wallpaper removal did it but any which way you're going to have to put it back so why does it even make a difference? Just curious.
If the first layer of wallpaper was done right by using a good primer first the tape shouldn't have come loose withthe paper removal. I've never had that experience in all the millions of miles of paper I've removed.
