How to remove undermount stainless sink from quartz countertop?
Installed a new stainless sink. There is a 4 inch wide bar from the top to the bottom edge where the texture looks different. The surface probably was polished unevenly by the manufacturer. The contractor said he would have to remove the entire countertop to replace the sink. Is that true?

depends. give me a picture, here if you can, or e-mail me. need two pictures one of the undermount sink from the underside and how it is fastened to the top what kind of fasteners, then a picture from the top side showing the transition from top to sink. he shouldn't have to remove the top under most circumstances as long as the sink base is large enough that the sink isn't actually sitting ontop of the cabinet sides. usually you take the fastners loose with a screwdriver and cut caulk loose between top and sink. and under most circumstances it is that easy. usually takes more time to undo plumbing and clean up where the caulk was for the new sink.
