    Default Pruning a Mimosa

I have resently searched the web and different discussion boards for advice on pruning a mimosa tree and the advice was mixed; from you should never as the tree didn't grow after the trimming to they trimmed it and it thrived.

I trimed out three major branches fall of 08' and the tree produced a lot of sap from the three cut areas for 6 months.

the tree is now out of control and I want to know how and how much I can cut it back.....Any advice out there?

I would really like to know what Roger from ATOH has to say but I'll take any advice I can get!

    Hi,
The latin name is albizia julibrissin. There's plenty of culture info out there; here's one:
