Default Water Presure in the house

I have a 35 year old colonial style house that we have lived in for 5 years. The water pressure is aweful. The upstairs master bedroom shower is a trickle. Is there anything I can do to increase the pressure in the house, or at least the upstairs shower?

    Thanks

Take the shower head off and turn on the water. Is it still a trickle? Have you checked the aerators in the faucets at other locations?
