    Question Finishing Kitchen Cabinets

Help!!! I am refinishing my cabinets; have read article and have completed down to two top coats. My question is can I paint a coat of polyuethane over the latex paint to seal the cabinets. I have 31 of them and this is in the kitchen. Local Lowes says I should, but I really want your opinions and help.
    Thank you novice 101

    Novice.

If you are using a premium enamel paint on your cabinets , a top coat of polyurethaane should not be neccessary. Further, oil urethanes have a slight amber tone which can influence the final color of the cabinets. Water based urethanes dry clear.
