    Default Replacing a dishwasher

Hello. We currently have a portable dishwasher. It is on it's last leg and I want to replace it with a built in. The problem is there is no counter top where the dishwasher will go. Has anyone installed a built in without a counter before? If so what did you put on top of it and how did you do it?

Thanks for any and all help.

A built in needs the cabinetry and countertop around it to keep it stable and secure. You can install one any way you like as long as it can be secured. It's actually secured to the underside of the countertop.

What kind of countertop do you currently have? It might be possible to extend it over the space where the dishwasher will live. Can you post a picture of the space, cabinets, and counter?
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
