My husband built our kitchen cabinets and installed soft-close drawer slides. He has had a heck of a time with them! It takes a lot of strength just to open the drawers; they slide very roughly; and they have to be closed with force. Needless to say, there is no "soft close" to them. He says it's because the clearance on the slides is so touchy that he just couldn't get it right. Now I'm afraid I'm going to have to start lifting weights just to use my kitchen drawers. Do you have any advice (other than getting a new husband with better building skills)?
