    Exclamation sorry made mistake in previous question...need help with fire...

    So I put down concrete in a smoke house that i previoulsy built and its about two feet off the floor and is against the sides of the wall...Now I need to put on bricks on top but i dont know what i should put in between the bricks and the concrete to prevent the concrete from collapsing when i put them on and turn on a fire...TIA

    my fire place just has fire bricks in the bottom, no mortar or anything.

    Can you put either concrete or brick piers under the slab?
