We have Richlite countertops in our kitchen that are about four years old and are showing the scatches and sc****s accumulated over the past several years. The mfr recommends sanding them with a red Scotchbrite pad.

My question is has anyone had any experience with sanding and refinishing these type of countertops? And what about sealing them afterwards? The mfr makes a sealer but I've also heard that Butcher's wax works. We've used mineral oil to minimize the appearance on the scatches but it only goes so far.

Thanks!
