    Default toilet ring/spacer

I'm replacing my linoleum floor with tile. Do I need to get a special wax ring or spacer to make up for the added height of the floor?

You can use a spacer or a No. 10 wax basket. No. 10 basket should be enough to make up for the extra height of the tile.

The surface of the flange should be flush with the surface of the finished floor. There are replacement flanges to accomplish this, if the local big box doesn't have them, a plumbing supplier will. In some cases a thicker wax ring will work, but it's not recommended.
